The New Zealand Labour Party conference is being held this weekend in Auckland.

The party leader, David Shearer has a golden opportunity to consolidate his position and that of Labour.

He needs a speech to rock the socks off party members and the New Zealand public. It will be a golden opportunity to stick the proverbial up PM John Key and the discredited National Government.

If he fails he will be toast and Labour will elect another leader within about three months There.is so much goodwill out there for David Shearer. He is a decent man, but needs to be a strong leader.
